Bob Keller, Farm Manager
I started helping out around the Pacific Crest Farm when we moved here in 2009 and formally joined the staff in 2011. Before farming I worked as an ecologist, and a conservation corps program manager, so working with youth, volunteers, soils, plants, and water were in the realm of the familiar. But practically everything I've learned about how to grow a carrot, or raise a hen, I've learned from my wife Jen and our apprentices over the years. I graduated from Western Washington University with a BS in Environmental Policy and Assessment and spent many years working for the Washington Conservation Corps, The City of Homer, and EarthCorps. I worked with Natural Systems Design for three years before coming on board with the School and still enjoy working for them part time. My interests focus on wildlife (including my kids), botany, wetlands, rivers, politics, history, agriculture, and photography, and my goal is to pass along the great enjoyment that nature provides to me to the younger kids among us.
Jen Keller, Farm Manager
I began working at the Pacific Crest Farm in November of 2009. I attended college at Salisbury University in Maryland and received my BA in Sociology and Environmental Studies. I began working on farms while in college, then moved to Seattle and worked for EarthCorps in the environmental restoration field. I decided I wanted to return to agricultural work and so I apprenticed on a farm in Alaska and in the Snoqualmie Valley before moving to Vashon Island to run the school's farm. Our daughters Coralee and Aida June joined us in 2012 and 2015. The farm is a beautiful spot and we are grateful to live here!
¡Hola! My name is Inma and I started working at Pacific Crest in 2001. I was fresh out of college in Spain when I took a position as a Spanish assistant in a Seattle Public School. I fell in love with Seattle so I came back after spending one year in Spain to start working at Pacific Crest. I love reading, traveling and sewing. I have a soon-to-be 3 year old daughter, Daniela, who I love dearly and who fills up my life with laughter and fun. My favorite part of my job at Pacific Crest is having the chance to work with such a wide range of students, from Primary to Middle School, and witnessing their growth year after year.
