Call for volunteers
Pop-up Arts Night is coming up on November 10!
For those of you who have not been before, this is a one night, adults only, Art Gallery party and marketplace for handmade goods to benefit the school.

This is a very fun event and we are looking for volunteers. New parents, this is a great chance to jump right in and start getting involved. If you are interested in being a part of the event planning and have skills or interests in organizing art galleries, parties or events (food, set up, clean-up, behind the scenes logistics, wrangling art...) please contact Mary Campbell (6th grade parent) maryncampbell@gmail.com.

About coach Andy Hastings: This is my first year as head coach after apprenticing last year.  We’ll be working closely with a number of other parent coaches to ensure that students get the coaching and support they need. My family has been at Pacific Crest for seven years now and my oldest son is a 5th grader and younger son is a 3rd grader. Derek Pharr and Ben Wilk have set a great precedent as coaches and we plan to continue that tradition that the spirit of the game, personal growth and having fun will always be more important than the score of the game in a way.

About Coach Derek Pharr
I am a USAU Level I certified coach and I am entering my 5th year coaching for Pacific Crest. I ran the Elementary program for 3 years and now I run the MS program and oversee ultimate at PCS. My son graduated in the spring and will be starting at Nathan Hale this fall and my daughter Isabella is entering 7th grade at Pacific Crest.

I believe that the spirit of the game, personal growth and having fun will always be more important than the score of the game.

NOTE: Coach Derek is hoping to get an assistant coach. If no one comes along, this workshop will change to Ultimate for Experienced Players (minimum 2 years playing experience required) with a cap of 16 players total. This workshop also requires a minimum of 6 girls.
