Montessori Administrative Assistant

About the Position:
We are seeking a well-organized, resourceful, pleasant, independent team player to welcome onto our staff as a full-time Administrative Assistant beginning in July, 2017.
In addition to daily communication within the school community and reception in the main office, this position will involve the following functions:
-Greet visitors, answer phones, take messages and answer general questions.
-Maintain Main Office area and staff room - water plants, dust, update bulletin boards, clean windows, tidy clutter, etc.
-Distribute Items - Mail, paperwork, etc.
-Performs general clerical functions - School mailings, manage a general information e-mail account, filing, photocopying, printing school rosters, update sign-in sheets, aftercare enrollment and changes, track staff absences, help prepare payroll for Business Office, collect payments, manage petty cash and submit daily deposits.
-Process and manage records - Student Immunizations, Transcripts, Student Files, Medication & Allergy Information.
-Administration of prescribed medications for a few children
-Liason between staff and facilities
-Supply Ordering and inventory
-Schedule and manage photo days, fire drills, and service calls
-Works with Administrative Specialist on afterschool workshops
-Emergency classroom support
Ideal Candidates should have:
- The desire to be in an environment dedicated to children
- The ability to prioritize and multitask
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Airtable Database, Google Drive and Apps
- A warm, pleasant disposition and genuine enthusiasm for working with parents, teachers, and students to build a strong community
-Ability to work well in a group and independently
-Associate's degree or higher preferred
-Previous experience in education, administrative, or office environment
-Working knowledge of Windows and Chrome devices
-Comfortable working with various computer programs
