“Let us give him a vision of the whole universe. The universe is an imposing reality, and an answer to all questions. We shall walk together on this path of life, for all things are part of the universe, and are connected with each other to form
one whole unity.”

–Maria Montessori

We help students understand the interconnectedness of the natural world, fostering a sense of wonder, respect, and love for the rich diversity of life on Earth.

We intentionally design our learning environments to support the unique developmental needs and potential of each age group. Large, uninterrupted blocks of time allow students to pursue expansive projects, engage deeply in their studies, and work toward a meaningful sense of personal accomplishment. As students are given increasing freedom of choice, they develop greater academic, social, and moral responsibility. In our first through fifth grade classrooms, children have many opportunities to learn from one another, taking on the roles of both student and teacher within a collaborative community.
