Parent Community Education Night with Dr. Steve Hughes

Join us in the Middle School for an enlightening conversation with Dr. Steve Hughes, foremost researcher on the cognitive benefits of early Montessori education. The event is free to PCS families and open to the public for $10 pre-registration; $30 at the door. Pre-register by March 14th at info@pacificcrest.org.

Dr. Hughes will discuss how Montessori education from Primary through Middle school implements what current neuroscience knows about optimizing social, emotional, cognitive and academic development.

Montessori education -- through Middle school -- builds the foundational capacities for collaborative, adaptive leaders, readying themselves for the unique challenges of the 21st century.

About Steve Hughes

Steve Hughes, PhD, ABPdN is a pediatric neuropsychologist and director of The Center for Research on Developmental Education. He is also past president of the American Academy of Pediatric Neuropsychology.   His research interests are in the area of attention and executive functioning and the role that early childhood education can play in promoting the formation of these essential capabilities.  
Dr. Hughes is Chair of the Association Montessori Internationale’s Global Research Committee and speaks all over the world to audiences interested in learning more about the cognitive developmental benefits of authentic Montessori education.
